Olumide Oresegun was born in sep 1981 ,he graduated with distinction in painting from Yaba Collage of Technology in 2006 ,he has won many prestigious painting award including 1st prize award life in my city art festival 2007,pendulum gallery 1st prize award .he also had two successful solo exhibition in 2011 and 2014 respectively at Mydrim gallery in lagos . he has participated in some group exhibition in Nigeria and Germany. Olumide experience an unbelievable sensation of neo classical and classical art installation art when he visited ARCO 2009 exhibition. The detailing of peter Paul reuben mesmerised him to focus more in pushing realism to the stage of hyper realist by trying to create a barrier between realism and abstraction . He also made some selected portrait commission they include; His Holiness Pope John Paul II, His Holiness Pope John Benedict XVI, Sir David Osunde, Chief Executive Officer, Koch Nigeria Ltd. Micah Mbliz Jonah is a musician and won the Volunteer Prize. He worked on "Water Project in Ikpe Ikot Nkon village" and "CRARN Center" as a SWACIN Rep. A Business Administration Undergraduate and he has a certificate in Business Ideas and Entrepreneurship Skills. He is an Entrepreneur, and the forth out of the six children of his parents.He was born and brought up in the south south region of Nigeria(Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria). His father is a mechanical Engineer & A business man while his mother is a teacher and a business administrator. Because of his love and passion for humanitarian services getting involveasd wasn't difficult, Sam Edet told him about the SWACIN foundation and he desired to join. His happiest feelings is having the opportunity to serve the needy. His worst feelings was traveling from Akwa Ibom State to Edo State by Bus because of the bad conditions of the road,The journey took more than 6 hours and he was really stressed. His community is full of hard working people and business opportunities, and he says they are loving and peaceful people and welcome visitors & investors. Nigeria is regarded as the giant of Africa, the land of so many happenings with a beautiful culture that attracts foreigners, is a place to be. MARCH 12 2016 PIUS MADAKI
Barrister Pius Madaki, the CRARN Attorney represented CRARN, Child's Rights Rehabilitation Network, when a wealthy evangelist Reverend Helen Ukpabio filed a law suit against CRARN for providing an escape for the children from the abusive deliverance from the churches. Reverend Helen Ukpabio is accused of creating a fear through her film, End of the Wicked, which tells in graphic detail how children become possessed. Worst of all, the film uses child-actors to depict scenes of children being inducted into covens, eating human flesh, and bring about destruction in families. Such story has no basis in the bible nor the law itself. She committed serious crimes of killing and abusing innocent people. Thus, SWACIN asks why the law in Nigeria is allowing this to happen and what can be done in Nigeria. Listen

We had the 2016 1st GENERAL ASSEMBLY on February 13th (Sat) at Skype at Nigeria 17:00PM, Nigeria 9:00AM.We discussed CRARN sponsorship, the orphanage in Eket, Nigeria, and then, the important matter concerning how some board members misunderstood the aim of our organization. Board of Directors are WILLING and ABLE body and are expected to communicate all the time because of frequent obstacles and challenges. If you come to the Board of Director for expecting employment and demand high salary for it, you would be disappointed, because that is not our focus. We build projects by communicating each other, as we face many challenges such as Nigerian government's non-responce, a member's fraud and misdeed, etc. Listen
JANUARY 23 NNIMMO BASSEY
Nnimmo Bassey has responded to the request for an exclusive interview by the only organization in Japan supporting the Nigerian poor, SWACIN Inc. He is Director of an ecological think-tank, Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF) and Coordinator of Oilwatch International. Bassey has authored books on the environment, architecture and poetry. He was chair of Friends of the Earth International (2008-2012) and Executive Director of Nigeria’s Environmental Rights Action (1993-2013). He was a co-recipient of the 2010 Right Livelihood Award also known as the “Alternative Noble Prize.” In 2012 he received the Rafto Human Rights Award. In 2014 he received Nigeria’s national honour as Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) in recognition of his environmental activism. His book, To Cook a Continent - Destructive Extraction and the Climate Crisis in Africa (Pambazuka Press, 2012) has been translated in Portuguese and Finnish (2014). DECEMBER 25 SAM ITAUMA
A charity organization based in Eket- the South-South region of Nigeria, the Child's Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) has rescued four children who were hiding in a bush to avoid lynching after they were labeled witches and wizards, tortured, and abandoned to their fate by their families. These children were accused by the church ministers and preachers as causing misfortune in the family. CARAN has taken these children in the facilities where they are given provisions including food, room and board and education. Sam Itauma, the head of the organization responded to our interview request to tell us about the difficulty they are facing because the donors have recently informed that they will no longer support these children fiancially. Let us hear from Mr. Itauma, the founder of CRARN what has happened. Listen
DECEMBER 12 KEIKO WATANABE
Keiko Watanabe traveled to Nigeria including Lagos, Oshobo, and Abeokuta etc. where she had in touch with painting, sculpture, dying, music and architecture. She was very impressed by various Nigerian arts and life. In 2010, and her art was accepted for the 2011 Aoyama Design Award. She entered illustrations of her creation which was produced by the inspiration from Nigerian art and won the prize, "Design Award 2010" in 2010. NOVEMBER 28 KYOKO KAMITA
Kyoko Kamita tells us about her experience in traveling alone and reached Africa 15 years ago. Since then, she entered Dososhin Travel Agency Co., Ltd. in Tokyo where she has developed projects in Africa, business in Africa, going along with the tour to Africa. She visited totally 30+ African countries in the past. Today, she discuss with SWACIN staff to see the potential of "Study Tour" project in Nigeria. This is to help Japanese youth stay with Nigerian family to experience the living conditions of families in Nigeria. This is quite a challenge for Japanese youth since most of them don't know how it is like to lack water, gas, electricity and over all infrustracture. Listen

Ibeh Bartholomew MSc, Ph.D is the founder of EHMEI, a non-profit organization based in Abuja Nigeria. Hideko Nagashima, a Japanese origin, an American citizen. founded Non-profit organization, SWACIN Inc. in Japan, U.S. and Nigeria after she met life-threatening domestic violence by her ex-fiance, but the poor people in Niger Delta, Nigeria has saved her life. Her daughter still awaits her in the midst of Niger Delta, Nigeria where the worst case of environmental pollution, poverty, corruption, and violence are practiced in Africa. Niger Delta is the very place Government of Japan prohibits its citizens to enter. In her mind, though, there was no choice, she had to go to Niger Delta even if that means to lose the Japanese citizenship, and decided to choose an American citizenship...Listen

There is a non-profit organization in Japan that has received a donation 300,000 yen (Approx. $3000) from Nigerian Ambassador’s wife association. It is called “Mother and Children of the Rainbow Bridge” to support fatherless families affected by the great earthquake in 2011 in Hanamaki-city, Iwate Prefecture. The presentation ceremony was held in Tokyo in June 2014, which took place in Nigerian Embassy in Toranomon. Georgina Abo, the representative of Ambassador’s Wife Association of Africa and 11 associates attended and handed the donation to the "Hanamaki Mom’s House.” Why Ambassador’s wife of Nigeria gives donation to "Hanamaki Mom’s House"? Being asked, Ms. Tamae Wakana answered, "I have never been to Nigeria before, but we shared empathy with the women in the disaster area. I think Ambassador’s wife saw these suffering reminded them of the women in their own country. Would you not think that those who lead satisfying life cannot understand the suffering of others? Seismic researcher originally from Italy, Mr. Marco Franzini, has contributed a forecast report to SWACIN Inc. saying that there may be big earthquake in Kobe and Tokyo. He says, "From 2012, our scientists team has successfully tested a new system based on solar systems interaction, to preview many months or years in advance." AUGUST 8 OLUTOSIN O. ADEBOWALE
On the 2nd of January 2015, I began a new unending journey. Wole Shoyinka Center for investigative journalism invited me to do a documentary on women in Nigeria. And I accepted to #Reportwomen abuse and issues of access in Nigeria; we selected 9 states for the documentary film and head towards the Northern Nigeria to document Abduction, Displaced women and girls and poverty. The field trip ended on the January 30th, 2015; but the experience continued to haunt my nights. Therefore, I decided to return to the Northern part of Nigeria where girls are especially hard-hit for 6 years by Boko Haram insurgency. Listen

Dr. Ekanem Efiong is a eye doctor in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. He pracitices his own non-profit organization, Dr. Ekanem Efiong's Outreach Project to help those who have eye problems such as cataract and glaucoma and cannot afford to pay for the cost. He describe that many people in Nigeria, without proper education, falsely believe that their predicament were dliverate efforts of someone' cursing. He goes around to teach and help those individuals. Originally, we planned to have our board of director, Dr. Anupama Biswas to discuss with him for delivering eye equipment from India, but we regret to inform you, that she had to rush to the emergency. We are honored to welcome Mr. Shigeo Yamagata who worked as Director of JICA, Abuja branch, Nigeria. We asked him what is like Nigeria to him. Here is his introduction, “His first experience of Africa was in a village in western Kenya where he was a JOCV volunteer as a teacher of mathematics and science in a secondary school at the age of the late twenties. During his stay there for two years and a half, he was convinced that the African and the Japanese have the common sense of value, and got interested in the history in which the African people has lived. After Kenya, he was working in JICA, engaged mainly in the African affairs. Nigeria was initially one of the countries which he had wanted to keep away from being assigned, but he changed his wish around the year 2000 when it looked more active than before, and was assigned there at the end of 2003. He became a devotee of Nigeria after finding many sincere Nigerians and the powerful life-style of the people. Since Nigeria has still a lot of conflicts within the society and the people are living difficult lives, he wants to assist their own efforts for better lives. He has other experiences in Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, Gabon and Burundi." Listen

NAS Japan Chapter president, Mr. Allen Omoruyi Sonny leads approximately 1000 Nigerians living in Japan. There is no organization in Japan that promotes the place for Nigerian diaspora. However, there are many useful human resources among them, such as those with high education and skills. He has graduated from University of Bennin, Nigeria, earned BSC (Mathematics) After working for Ministry of Education in Nigeria for years, he got married to a Japanese woman, and now runs personal computer sales business. He says, his organization, “National Association of Seadogs (NAS) is a registered Nigerian charitable and humanitarian organization, founded by a Nigerian playwright and poet, Wole Soyinka and six other students in 1952. Mr. Soyinka was awarded the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature, the first African to be honored. Listen

Mrs. Misa Kojima is not an ordinary Japanese woman. She has built a business in Nigeria years ago when no Japanese corporations operated in Nigeria as the Japanese government has warned Japanese citizens not to enter the country for years. She built a company called African Forest and bought dudu-osun soaps in Lagos and sold them to the extravagant Japanese cusmetics industory. She married to a Nigierian man but divorced, and she raises two boys as a single mother in Japan. Those children are mixed between Nigerian and Japanese. Needless to say, she endured hardships yet the hardships could not defeat her. She has always maintained optimistic views on her life because she knew she did not have to listen to the negative people. Currently she works for Ground-Castle Inc. that builds web-site. Let us ask her how she built business in Nigeria, what she thinks about the danger portrayed by the media, and the possibility lay ahead. Listen

Mr. Yuuichi Katsuura joined Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. in 1971. I engaged in business of sales of household water purifier. CLEANSUI Director, and became Managing Director of MRC Home Products Co., Ltd. Then he retired and took responsitility in managing the Koyo Sangyo Co., Ltd. He built Nippon Basic Co. in May 2005 and was appointed as the Managing Director where he developed a car integrated water purifier used for producing drinking water at the crisis as disaster in the developing countries. Sam Ikpe Itauma is the President and Founder, the Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN), and the CEO of Itauma Foundation (IFOUND).
CRARN is a charity group with headquarters in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and a registered charity in the United States of America. Itauma initiated anti-witch hunt and killings campaign in African in 2000 when he rose to put a stop to the widespread killings of suspected witches, including adults and children in his home state by petitioning the commissioner of police and mobilizing stake-holders. The killings were a re-enactment of the “Inquisition” and the “Salem witch trials.” The killings were organized by different groups of irate and unemployed youths who formed themselves into different cult groups carrying out what they called “witch cleansing” with the backing of some influential politicians and religious leaders. No fewer than 600 people were killed within a space of two months, while thousands fled their homes. Listen
